Allen Motor Company, Inc. was formed in 1948 by my father Von Allen. It was formed at the time he started an auto salvage yard (aka as the Junk Yard) on Highway 24/27 between Biscoe and Troy. He incorporated Allen Motor Company, Inc. in May of 1966 while at the time he owned and operated a Chrysler Plymouth dealership in Biscoe, North Carolina. That business yielded to his mobile home sales in 1970 which eventually was his mainstream with the “Junk Yard” being a sideline business and the ending of the new car dealership in 1970. From that time on he put an emphasis on used car and truck sells in addition to the mobile homes and salvage yard. In 2010 due to failing health he reluctantly sold the salvage yard to D.H. Griffin Wrecking Company. My father passed away in 2017 and I decided that Allen Motor Company, Inc wouldn’t end on my watch! I continued to keep the dealer license up to date. I’ve decided to go back to my roots working with my father for many years and continue to operate this 76 year old company in addition to my real estate company Carolina Land & Farms, LLC.
